I want to wish everyone here a Merry Christmas! I hope your day is a good one.
Its been nuts in the last month. I’ve had several bumps along the way. If you’ve been watching the twitter sidebar in the last week, you’ve seen that I had a car wreck. I was rear-ended on my way home from work. Thankfully I’m here and not in the hospital. It broke my nose and totaled my car. But since it could have been much worse I’m counting my blessings for Christmas this year.
Hi folks! I hope those reading this in the USA have had a very good Thanksgiving! And anyone from places elsewhere has had a good day too!
DH and I have so much to be thankful for. We have had the day to spend with family. We are healthy. Our fuzzy critter kittehs are healthy. He and I both have jobs we find fulfilling.
Little kitten that had been dumped appears to have a new home! I met a lady who has been thinking about getting a cat. She already has several smaller dogs. So she’s worried about how the kitten will get along with her dogs. She has the kitten at her house. I did tell her we would take the kitten back if she couldn’t get her dogs to accept it. So hopefully little one has a forever home.

Hooray, I was able to get to work today! I was so glad to be feeling up to it, that it wasn’t even funny. Folks at work were glad to see me and glad I was feeling better! I really don’t like being sick. (obviously, most folks don’t, duh!) I was even able to get some work done. 
Wordcamp starts tomorrow! The pre-camp dinner was this evening at The J. Clyde’s on Cobb Lane. I dragged DH out to it, and in spite of his ribs’ bothering him he was a good sport and was social. It was good to see folks from last year out this evening. I’m looking forward to the sessions tomorrow and Sunday.
As I have found out the hard way. Tuesday evening I ate out with DH and one of his teacher friends at 5PM before choir practice and their open house. By the time choir practice was over at 8:30 I was feeling nauseated, and it got worse as the night progressed. I spent all of yesterday in bed with nausea and horrid stomach cramps. It wasn’t my idea of a good time. This morning most of the symptoms have faded, I’m just amazingly tired right now. I’ve called the restaurant to let them know, hopefully they will check it out. I wouldn’t wish this on somebody else.
There’s too much left to do for me to be sick. Unfortunately the virus I have isn’t letting me be busy.
DH started with this cold on Tuesday, having a bad time with it on Wednesday, and dealing with the aftermath on Thursday and today. I started having a scratchy throat on Wednesday, yesterday was the acknowledgement that yes, I do have a freaking cold and today has not been fun. I didn’t go to a Christmas party last night that I had been looking forward to since I was feeling like crap and didn’t want to give this to anyone else.
Stupid rhinovirus. Go away, now!
My back has been bothering me lately, and since I’m getting ready to go into my biz busy season, I figured that I ought to go ahead on and get it checked out. Its the lower back, and has been really tight and not quite spasming when I straighten up from bending over or twisting. Not good, right?
So I went to a chiropractor. He took xrays of my spine, and did a variation of an EMG of the muscles neck and back. In looking at the xrays, my spine is way out of whack. My neck looks very close to what it looked like when I had whiplash. The perils of working on a computer. My posture isn’t what it ought to be. So my back is messed up and hurts. I’ll be making regular trips to the chiropractor to get it jerked and put back into the alignment. I’m just glad they can take appointments that are before the regular business day starts.
